Pat Orner is a Sacramento artist and muralist who works primarily in watercolor and acrylic.  Her murals beautify homes, gardens, and businesses.  She and her partner, Keith Hopkins, create fine art at their home studio as well as at their studio in the Kennedy Gallery & Art Center, 1114 20th Street, Sacramento, CA 95811.

Pat is a Bay Area native and a fourth generation Californian.  Her great-grandfather was born in an ox-drawn wagon in 1849, while his father panned for gold on the banks of the Cosumnes River near Sacramento.

Pat’s grandfather, mother, and father were accomplished artists.  Her son is also a gifted artist in the entertainment industry and structural design field.

Her early artistic talents were utilized in community involvement.  She founded a Sacramento relocation service, Transition Connection, using her creative talent in finding the perfect home situation for very satisfied clients.

Pat began her art studies in watercolor with the friendship and mentoring of established artist and watercolor instructor, Pat (Houk) Kodet.  This inspired her to do more with her artistic talents.  She became interested in painting murals when she designed and completed her small Midtown garden complete with ‘Monet’ waterlily pond and floral walls.  Her garden was showcased in a Sacramento Bee Home and Garden article.  Pat’s talents were quickly recognized by numerous clients who set off her career as an accomplished muralist.

Pat continued her interest in fine art as well, studying art, and working in her studio, ever evolving as an artist.  Her interests in the human form are evident in her watercolors and acrylics.  Pat’s originals and limited editions can be enjoyed and purchased at the Kennedy Gallery & Art Center
